These two pieces were inspired by Erik Satie. They are my electronic imaginings of conversations with him on a walk (November With Satie) and over a cup of tea (Fantasy on a Theme by Satie). The sounds are perhaps a far cry from Satie's beautiful piano renditions--I'm using the sound to describe key moments in his life. I've tried to keep to his playing directions, even though they're often strange. In these pieces, Satie was, for me, a master of not saying the most important thing yet absolutely communicating it. What did we talk about? The music will tell all!
